The goal of Helm El-Noor’s events was: presenting the Initiative for artists, media and talented youth. The first event of the Initiative was held at Ewart’s Memorial hall, at the American University in Cairo (AUC); on Friday, November 7th, 2014. The second event of Helm El-Noor’s Initiative was held in Assiut; it was the first event in Assiut governorate. It was held at Qasr El-Thaqafa’s theatre in Assiut, on Friday, November 21st, 2014, under the sponsorship of the Governor of Assiut General\ Ibrahim Hammad. Cairo Celebration Choir conducted by maestro Nayer Nagui participated in the event. A short film, which was recorded with some artists about their opinions in art and dreams and their influence, was presented, besides presenting the Initiative’s song. Attendees, including young men and women, were very interactive with the unique Arabic songs which were presented expressing the true Egyptian community, with a wonderful and new operatic distribution for the Egyptian audience from Upper Egypt.
The youth expressed their joy about the arrival of Helm El-Noor Initiative that supports talented youth to Assiut. They even went out to say goodbye to the Cairo Celebration Choir, after the concert was over. The members of Cairo Celebration Choir also stated that the audience’s interaction in Assiut was very encouraging and more than expected; which confirm the importance of considering youth in Upper Egypt and providing true opportunities for them.
