Artists’ Meeting

Lines of light were gathered in a meeting for some artists and heads of cultural and artistic organizations, in order to know more about our dream. The meeting was held at the British Council in El-Agouza, Cairo, under the supervision of the Artistic Projects Department of the Council. Artists, whom we love and whose opinions and support to Helm Elnoor’s journey, matter to us, attended the Meeting.

Our dream is to discover, qualify and train the Arab talented youth on the needed talents; so that they would be artistic characters capable of existing and communicating with the local and international artistic societies. This would be achieved through: developing the psychological, social and artistic capacities of youth; so that they can be effective for others’ lives; and to be a light for their communities and the world.

The Meeting was led by Dr. Sahar El-Moogy, the writer; Professor of American Poetry at Cairo University; Maestro Nayer Nagui, conductor of Cairo Celebration Choir (CCC) and Helm Elnoor consultant; and Essam Fayez, founder of the Initiative. We were honored by the presence of the writer, Khaled El-Khamisy; Sahar Abdullah, the painter and children stories writer; scenarist, Hany Fawzy; photography manager, Tamer Joseph; Mr. Samir Abdulghany Ibrahim, the caricature painter and in charge of the Fine Arts at Dom’s Foundation; and Dr. Mohamed Sorour Olwany, professor at Art Faculties; and a fine artist and member of the Fine Arts Bureau in the Artists Union of Syria.

We were pleased by attending of Ms. Cathy Costain, manager of the artistic programs at the British Council; Father Botros, manager of the Catholic Center for Cinema; Mr. Yasser Grab, the fine artist, cultural activist, and manager of the Cultural Developing Program; Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, the financial manager of the Town House Gallery; Mr. Ahmed Hussein of Adef Foundation. Directors, Farid Samir and John Adly; actors, Shady Khalaf; actress, Nadia Khairy; assistant-conductor, Steven Simon; and the sculptor, Michael Adel, attended the Meeting with us.

The excitement, opinions and suggestions of our guests were such a great encouragement for us; they will have a positive effective and important role in achieving our dream. We discussed lots of details regarding the vision and plans of the Initiative; so that we can offer a distinguished training that can accomplish the vision goals of Helm Elnoor.

Helm Elnoor now is in the phase of spreading, and the preparation for the launching concerts is taking place. Know more about Helm Elnoor.
